Help Your Bad Breath and Help Your Arteries
I was watching a special progam on our public television network by Dr. Michael Roizen. Dr. Roizen, chief wellness officer of the Cleveland Clinic and chair of the Division of Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine and Comprehensive Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic, is the author of The RealAge Makeover: Take Years Off Your Looks and Add Them to Your Life. Although halitosis was not the topic of his presentation, he brought up just one more connection between disease and bad breath.
Roizen was presenting 40 tips to keep yourself young by keeping yourself internally healthy. The first tips had to do with keeping your arteries young and healthy. Tip number 1 was to keep your blood pressure at or below 115/76. The second tip was to walk 30 minutes per day no matter what. The third was to take aspirin daily (with a glass of water to reduce the negative affects on your stomach).
The fourth tip, which is the one that concerns us, is to floss and brush daily. This reduces gum inflammation and increases gum health. The germs that cause inflammation in your gums also cause inflammation of your arteries. Dr. Roizen believes that regular flossing and brushing is even better for decreasing artery inflammation than taking aspirin on a daily basis.
Once again we find that keeping one part of your body healthy will improve the health of the rest of you. There you go – improve your artery health, your gum health and your breath all at the same time. Keep up the good work with your daily oral hygiene regimen that you can find right here at BadBreathRemedyGuide.com.
