Have You Got a Beautiful Bedroom but Ugly Morning Breath?

You've spent time, money, effort decorating your home.  Everything about it is perfect and it makes the statement that you want it to make about who you are.  And you've spent plenty of time, lots of effort, and maybe even money on getting that perfect white canopy bed to create a beautiful bedroom. Everyone deserves one room that is their own sanctuary - their bedroom.

So here you've taken the time to create your own special bedroom.  You've gotten a great night's sleep. You wake up to a beautiful bedroom, and what is the first thing you notice?  Morning Breath!  Unfortunately, morning mouth is something that anyone can have, no matter what age.

Climb into Your Lovely Wooden Bed with Your Bacteria

So what happens after you climb into that beautiful full size wooden bed at night?  You snuggle down into your cozy bed,  fall asleep and sulfur-producing anaerobic bacteria in your mouth go to work.  All of us have these great little bacteria in our mouths and they are constantly digesting any foods or proteins that they find in your mouth.  Night time is a great time to create the worst breath of the day.  There are a couple of reasons for this.  The first is that the bacteria have a good six to eight hours of uninterrupted time to work.  The second reason is that you have less saliva at night.

Saliva is one of your teammates when it comes to getting rid of bad breath.  It keeps oxygen levels in your mouth high, which keeps bacteria levels low.  It keeps helps in digesting food, and it helps keep your mouth the right pH levels.  But there are two things that cut back on saliva levels at night.  First off, this is the time of day when you produce the least saliva. Second is that a lot of us snore - or at least sleep with our mouths open - and this dries out our mouths.

Wake Up in Your Beautiful Bed with Beautiful Breath

So whaddaya do?   Of course, you need to floss, brush your teeth, and clean your tongue just before you go climb into that romantic bed of yours.  Here are the two tips that can make the difference between waking up with morning mouth or with fresh breath. Use an oxygenating toothpaste and coat your tongue with it while you're cleaning your teeth.  Then stick a couple of the Therabreath FreshStrips right on the back of your tongue.  Put a pack in your bedside table or, if your choice of bed is a low platform bed with storage drawers, keep some handy in the drawer nearest to you.

So now, with these new techniques, you can go to bed with confidence that you'll wake up in your romantic bed with great breath.
