Celery and Yogurt Reduce Bad Breath
Basically, bad breath comes from two places. The most obvious one is your mouth. You can also have a digestion problem that causes gas and belching – another source of bad breath. What you eat then can contribute to the state of your breath’s odor. This doesn’t mean though that you should stop flossing and brushing because at least 90% of your bad breath problems are coming from your mouth. Eating right and having the proper oral hygiene will ensure that you have fresh smelling breath most of the time. Here are some of the foods that fight bad breath either in your mouth or in your stomach.
Eating fresh herbs or drinking herb teas not only fights bad breath, but they can be good for your digestion, too. Some of the more effective herbs for fighting bad breath are rosemary, eucalyptus, spearmint, cardamom and parsley.
Eat some yogurt. The bacteria in yogurt can help counteract and lower hydrogen sulfide in our mouth which causes bad odor. Yogurt also provides vitamin D, which can cause a reduction in the bacteria in your mouth.
Eat crunchy fruits and vegetables. The chewing causes your mouth to produce more saliva. Fruits and veggies are a good substitute for sweets because they don’t contain sugar, which can add more plaque and tartar. As more saliva is developed, the mouth is rinsed, washing away remaining food particles.
Eat foods that are high in Vitamin C. Bacteria and germs are vulnerable to environments high in vitamin C, and so their numbers are reduced. Eat fruits like citrus and berries. Go natural, getting vitamin C from supplements causes some problems for some people.
Eat the foods that fight bad breath and you will be able to say goodbye to halitosis, couple this with regular brushing with Therabreath products and flossing and you can be totally confident about your breath.
