Bad Breath Emergency
Having bad breath can really ruin the moment, especially those moments when you are required to have a conversation with people that are important to you. Whether you are in a board meeting or on a hot date, having bad breath can quickly turn off anyone you talk to and give them a bad impression. What you need is a quick bad breath remedy to eliminate bad breath.
Most people would use different bad breath masking products like breath mints, breath spray, sugarless gum or a quick rinse with mouth wash. This may provide an immediate bad breath remedy but it is only for a short time. Soon, you will need to use more of these products. That may be okay for some, but what if you didn’t bring more with you? What if your meeting or date lasts longer than those temporary bad breath remedies?
So what to do if you are in one of those desperate situations? First, rinse your mouth well. Next, floss and brush your teeth. No floss? Borrow some. If you can’t do that, move on to brushing. If you don’t have a brush and toothpaste, use your finger and baking soda or salt. Rinse some more. Then clean your tongue – a coated tongue is a prime location for bad breath compounds. Use a spoon. Wipe your tongue with a paper towel. Be creative! More rinsing. If you have it available, use lemon or chew some parsley (in case you are out to eat and it’s used for plate decoration). If you go the parsley route, be sure you don’t have it stuck in your teeth. Having teeth draped in food won’t impress people any more than bad breath does! And next time, be prepared. Establish good oral hygiene habits and carry a small toothbrush, floss and toothpaste with you.
For a longer term bad breath remedy, you need to establish some routines and habits that can at least last you the whole day. Or better yet, prevent bad breath from happening. The best remedy, of course, is to prevent it from happening. What you should do is to drink water frequently throughout the day. This moistens the mouth and helps wash away food particles which bad breath causing bacteria turn into stinky sulfur compounds.
Try also to minimize your consumption of spicy foods, chilies, garlic and onions just before important events with other people. Floss properly and brush your teeth properly as well, and don’t forget to clean your tongue on a daily basis. Basically, having good oral hygiene can prevent bad breath from happening, and that is the best bad breath remedy that you could do to ensure you are at your fresh breath best.
