Bad Breath and Actors - Regular Guys Just Like Us
Don't Be Famous for Bad Breath
Being a successful actor can come with many privileges - money, fame, love from fans. Unfortunately, they also are expected to be perfect. And that includes their breath. In this area, actors and actresses are regular people just like us. And that means that all of the same things cause bad breath for them that cause it for us.
But we don't have to kiss people romantically over and over again in front of a camera. Sure it seems romantic in front of the silver screen as they do a slow motion tilting their head to receive each other's lips. In reality, it takes numerous takes to get that one special moment. Now imagine going for that great kiss, but that gorgeous looking man or woman has bad breath? Oh, so nasty!! Now it's different. Being an actor means you have to be presentable, and doing that oh so important kissing scene means you have to have minty fresh breath.
It is said that Clark Gable, the leading man for the movie "Gone with the Wind," had such bad breath that Vivian Leigh hated doing kissing scenes with him. Where is the romance? The names of Ben Affleck and Hugh Grant have come up when the topic of actors and bad breath comes up. British newspapers, including the London Sunday Times and the Daily Telegraph, have mentioned that Afflecks leading ladies, including Sandra Bullock, have complained about his breath. It has been said that Grant's breath is "eye-watering", probably because he is a smoker.
Many famous celebrities go to Dr. Harold Katz, the creator of Therabreath products and the California Breath Clinics. Many will make appointments under assumed names, just have his products sent to their assistants, or have their drivers check out the waiting room to see that it's empty before they go in. One soap opera actor goes to see Dr. Katz whenever he has a kissing scene with a new starlet. Singers also are concerned about bad breath. Katz says that they are concerned that singing near people will be offensive - and embarrassing - if they have a coated tongue and bad breath.
Katz says that celebrities often drink and smoke a lot. Both are big causes of bad breath. They often have poor diets or eating disorders, also halitosis culprits. So even actors, actresses and singers need to stick to the same bad breath remedies that you do.
Good health habits and good oral hygiene habits, including using Dr. Katz's Therabreath products will work for the rich and famous, just as it does for you.
